Bridgeway Christian Academy

Bridgeway Christian Academy is starting its fourth year at Redeemer! In the primary classroom, there are 13 kindergarten, first and second graders. In the intermediate classroom, there are 15 third, fourth and fifth graders. Altogether, BCA serves 19 families.  Here are the teachers:

  • Ms. Roxann Rose-Duckworth teaches four days a week in the intermediate classroom and acts as one of the school administrators. Ms. Rose was one of the school’s co-founders.
  • Mrs. Kerry Syre teaches two days a week in the primary classroom and acts as one of the school administrators. She is the other co-founder of BCA.
  • Senora Brenna Uzcategui is BCA’s Spanish teacher. She comes to BCA twice a week to help our students learn the Spanish language. Senora has been with BCA since it first opened in 2009.
  • Mrs. Lorraine Earle is Bridgeway’s music teacher. One day a week, she teaches one-on-one instrument lessons to students (piano, guitar and ukulele) and then on a separate day, she teaches a whole group lesson to each class. Every other week, she leads a music class for Redeemer’s Preschool. She incorporates worship and praise songs into her music curriculum. She has been with BCA since 2010.
  • Redeemer’s Pastor Dan leads a chapel time with the BCA students once a week. He also helps the BCA teachers align their Biblical curriculum to Lutheran doctrine. Pastor Dan is getting to know the BCA students and families. He plays an important role in linking Redeemer and Bridgeway towards a common mission of encouraging children to have a love and understanding of our savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.
  • In addition, BCA has some qualified parents who regularly volunteer to help with teaching PE, cooking and art.

As a non-profit agency, Bridgeway aims to meet this mission:

Bridgeway Christian Academy is a child-centered, multi-age, hands-on learning environment that maximizes researched-based best practices with teaching strategies to develop lifelong learners. This is a school where play and wonder enhances academics and children have a deep sense of belonging and love through community building, cooperative learning and Christian values being incorporated through life skills. BCA continually teaches and assesses students as they aim to meet and exceed state standards with a focus on students’ interests and needs. Through family involvement and a common philosophy of curriculum and instruction, all children soar to their highest potential.  For more information, please refer to the Bridgeway website at
